Mexico 2009

Well here are some of our Mexico pictures. These are only a few of the hundreds of picture we took while we were there. We had so much fun just relaxing on the beach. However traveling with a 9 month old was not as easy as we would have liked. Cooper all in all did pretty good, but it sure didn’t help that he got both of his top teeth while we where there. Needless to say he got a little grumpy at times. Things did pick up once they broke through and he was able to have some fun. We spent most of our days on the beach and the kids even got to swim with the dolphins, which was a real highlight for them. That’s what we did for Jager’s official birthday. I’ll post some more pictures soon but these are the ones we took on a beach in Tulum. It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

Jager turns 4

Well it has been a long time since I've blogged. I am hoping to get caught up so here we go. This is the cake I made for Jagers 4th birthday. We had a little celebration before we left to Mexico because we would be in Mexico for his real birthday. For some reason I can't find the other picture so this is it for now. Jager is in love with swords or maybe I should say obsessed with them. When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted of course he said a sword cake. We also celebrated my dad's birthday that night too so my mom made a very yummy pineapple cheese cake for the adults and the kids had the sword cake. Oh and of course Geoff had the sword cake too. If its not chocolate Geoff's not havin' it.
Jager at 4 years old:
Jager is all boy through and through. He loves any kind of weapon known to man. He can never have too may swords. He is fascinated with anything that he thinks is dangerous. He has really become a daddy’s boy and loves going to work with his dad. His favourite colors are black and Green. He loves treats. Sometimes I think his world revolves around treats and the dollar store. He started preschool this year and seems to really like it. For some reason he has the hardest time remembering the other kids names in his class. So when we ask about them he just makes up names like Vanilla, Hayden Caden, faden. We laugh about it but he usually gets mad when we do. He loves to play with Kaiya and Cooper. Jager is a real chatter box and seems to never stop talking. He loves tools (real tools). He says he wants to be a builder and a police man with a real gun when he grows up. His favourite food right now is macaroni and cheese and steak. His favourite movie right now is Transformers. He loves movies with real stuff in it. It’s so funny because he gets scared of cartoon characters, but doesn’t even bat an eye while watching Lord of the rings (dad’s idea not mine). All in all Jager is a combination of sweet, sassy, silly, sensitive, and spiritual. He brings so much joy into our home and I can’t imagine our lives without him.

I can hardly believe it

Well it is only 7 day's till we leave to Mexico and I can hardly believe that my Christmas shopping is almost all done. Never in my life have I ever been done Christmas shopping before Christmas Eve, It was my goal to have it done before we left this year and I am almost there. I am really looking forward to having a relaxing December. I just hope everyone can stay healthy. This H1N1 is getting a little bit scary. On a lighter note. Today as I was making one of many lists of things to get done before we leave I was trying to figure out ideas of what to get my brother and sister in-law Dick and Krystyn I asked Jager to help me think of some ideas. I said "Hey Jag what do you think we should get Aunt Krystyn for Christmas." Jager stood there pondering the question and then said "a fly swatter" and then I said "what about Uncle Dick" Jag says “a tar"(which means a guitar) Geoff and I had a good laugh because he actually did put some thought into his answers. Krystyn and Dick sorry to ruin the surprise.

Cooper 8 Months old

Well Cooper is just over 8 months now and growing like a weed. I just had him weighed last week and he is now 14 lbs and 6 oz. He is for sure my smallest baby yet. He is changing so much everyday.

Things he is doing @ 8 months:
-Rolling over
-Sitting up on his own
-holding his own bottle
-eating solid foods
-making lots of noise
-I swear he clapped yesterday but it was probably a fluke.
-lots of laughs (he love when you sneeze it really gets him going)
-He is still not the worlds greatest sleeper but neither were my others

He isn't really showing too many signs of crawling yet and I am crossing my fingers that he will wait at least till we get back from our vacation to Mexico. We leave on Nov 6th so here's to hoping. Kaiya and Jager were at least scooting around by 8 months or so. I'm in no hurry for him to get too mobile. He has such a sweet little spirit and is one of the best babies ever. The is so content most of the time. I know I have been so blessed with three of the MOST wonderful children in the world. I can't imagine life with out them.

Geoff is in Seattle this weekend for the annual man trip with Drew, Chris, Mat and JD. All I can say is HOLY MOLY hats off to all single mothers out there. I was thinking to myself how do they do it and for that matter do it well. I have a hard enough time keeping up with my three and I have a husband who is an amazing help. Anyways all in all it is going surprisingly good so far. Thank goodness for the WONDERFUL weather today. We got up to 23 degrees today. Robyn, Cohen and Mandy and her kids and I went to tim's to get donuts and then to the Henderson lake park to play. It was really busy considering this has been he nicest day in a long while. I did forgot my camera thought with I am a really kicking myself for it. The kids had so much fun!

My sweet boys!

Oh my sweet boys! With Kaiya in school everyday now Jager and Cooper have been able to spend a lot more time together. Jager can get a little board at times seeings how Cooper can't play swords yet, but all in all he really loves his brother. I am so glad Jager and Cooper have each other. I hope they will be great friends when they get older. I just hope I get the chance to have another girl someday so Kaiya can have a sister, don't get me wrong we would be blessed to have a baby no matter what the gender, I just think the bonds between sisters are so special.

Photo Frenzy

These are a few of my fav pictures I got taking pictures of Robyn and Mandy's family. Still learning the In's and out of my camera and I have had it for several years now, but having fun. I keep telling Geoff I really want a camera upgrade. He tells me I have to learn more about the one I have first. So I'm trying to do that by using my family as my guinea pigs.

Kaiya and Jager's first day of school

Kaiya Started Grade one on August 31st. She was very excited until it was time for mom and dad to leave. All summer we have been talking about Grade one and how much fun she would have. The only catch was the whole getting up early thing. Kaiya has always been our sleep in girl. She could sleep in till at least 10 everyday if we let her. We had been trying to prepare her by trying to get the kids to bed a bit earlier a week or so before school started. I say try because it didn't really work. It seems no matter how early I put them to bed you just can't force them to actually sleep. Well when the big morning arrived I had to wake Kiaya up around 7am. She had to be at school at 8:22am what a random time huh. Anyways I started on her hair while dad made her some scrambled eggs (Kaiya's request). For some reason Jager was having a bit of a rough morning that day, he was very grumpy. I think he must have sensed thing would be changing. Both geoff and I wanted to see Kaiya off to school so I called my mom to see if she could come over and watch Jag and Cooper(thanks mom) Kaiya was very quite during the short ride to school. I kept trying to get her all hyped up but she looked kids of nervous. We made it the class room and put away her backpack and found her desk. The teacher then asked all of the kids to sit down on the floor in front of her. That was our que to leave. I told Kaiya to go sit down and that is when the tear began to well (for both of us) I knew I would be sad but seeing her so sad and nervous made it so much worse. We finally made it out and I made it to the cross walk before the real tears started coming. I was so sad that she would be in school all day. My little girl just seemed so grown up. I think I really took for granted the time we got to spend at home with her. Her school Carree has now started, and it's a long haul. Well I am posting this after she has had a full week of school under her belt and she really does seem to love it after all. She is defiantly still adjusting to getting up earlier but I'm sure that will come. I asked her what her favorite part of school is and of course she said it was recess, big surprise. The girl loves the swings and monkey bars. Well I'm relieved she still loves school and I hope that will continue through the years to come.

Jager's first day of school was a bit different than Kaiya's. All summer Kaiya had been telling Jager all about the preschool he would get to go to. When the day came Jager was very excited to get there. All morning he was saying mom "is it time to go to school yet." I would say "not yet Jag but soon." he then would say "no mom I want to go aredda (already)." As soon as we got there he was off and running he really could have cared less that mom and dad had to leave. At first I was a little sad that he didn't care about us leaving, but then I told myself that this was way better that trying to leave him in tears like we had to with Kaiya in preschool. I think it might just be a boy thing. I'm very excited to see him form relationship with his new friends and teachers. Jager has a December birthday so he is one of the younger kids there, but I'm sure he will hold his own. He is already making lots of friends but for some reasone can only remember two names. I'm excited to go to his first snack day, although I'm sure I'll have to fight Geoff for it. Jager and Geoff have a very special relationship. He loves spending time with his dad. Geoff will often take him out on errands with him and take him to his office. I love when they go the the office because I usually get a phone call from Jag telling me that he is st the office working hard. He always asks if I'm sad and If I'm missing him. Of course I say yes, and I do miss him but I am also really enjoying some quite time.

I am so spoiled when it comes having to do much running around with all of the kids at once. Geoff is so great. For the most part he is the one who bring the kids to and from school everyday. I love his flexibility and love for his family. I really don't know what I would do without that boy.

The kid went right for the kitchen, how can you tell he has a sister...

Kisses

OK, so I know I am so behind on blogging, but I just had to post this little tidbit of Jager humor. I will try and catch up soon.

MOM: "can I have a kiss?"
JAGER: gives me a kiss
MOM: "can I have another?"
JAGER: gives me a kiss
MOM: "can I have another?"
JAGER: "no mom, too many kisses will give me allergies!"

I love this kid. He says some of the funniest stuff. The problem is I forget to write all of it down. Anyway I thought it was pretty funny and wanted to remember this one when he starts kissing those girls.
